St. Joseph Medical Center announces New Chief Medical Officer

St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC) is pleased to announce that Harold E. Gottlieb, MD, MBA, CPE has been appointed Chief Medical Officer.

 

Dr. Gottlieb is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is a Certified Physician Executive with The American Association for Physician Leadership. In addition to his medical degree, he holds a master’s degree in business administration from Houston Baptist University. Dr. Gottlieb is currently a clinical instructor of internal medicine at The University of Texas McGovern School of Medicine and Baylor College of Medicine.

 

Prior to joining St. Joseph, Dr. Gottlieb was the senior vice president of medical affairs at Harris Health System. He also served as Chief Medical Officer at Memorial Hermann Health System, Memorial City, and was the former Gulf Coast Regional Chief Medical Officer for CHRISTUS Health in Houston. He and his family reside in Southwest Houston.
