Lola Okunnu, M.D., joins Houston Methodist Primary Care Group practice in Sugar Land

Houston Methodist Primary Care Group is pleased to welcome Lola Okunnu, M.D., who is serving patients at the Sugar Land practice located at 16605 Southwest Fwy., Medical Office Building 3, Suite 400. Okunnu is a family medicine physician whose clinical expertise is in treating and/or managing acute and chronic medical needs, and keeping everyone in the family healthy. She received her medical degree from The University of Texas at Galveston, and then completed her family medicine residency at Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program.

“As a family physician, I am committed to providing holistic care with an emphasis on preventative medicine,” Okunnu said. “I aim to partner with patients of all ages to help them live happier and healthier lives.”

Okunnu treats patients with a variety of conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, depression and anxiety, and rash and skin problems. She offers complete physicals and has a special interest in children’s health and women’s health.

Born and raised in Houston, Okunnu is a proud first-generation Nigerian American. She is quite close to her family, including three siblings, and she lives in Aliana with her husband, baby son, and two cats. In her free time, Okunnu enjoys cooking and trying new foods across different cuisines.
