Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital welcomes urologist Zachary Mucher, M.D.

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is pleased to welcome board-certified urologist Zachary Mucher, M.D.

Dr. Mucher is joining Laura Martinez, M.D., at Houston Methodist Urology Associates, located in Medical Office Building 2, Suite 401 on the Houston Methodist Sugar Land campus.

Dr. Mucher earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and completed his urology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

He has received several awards, including Physician of the Year at his previous hospital in 2016-2017 and Living Magazine Reader’s Choice Best Urologist in Fort Bend 2016 and 2018.

Dr. Mucher also served with the U.S. Air Force and earned many honors, including the Air Force Commendation Medal for outstanding service to our troops in Iraq, the Meritorious Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Surgical Operations Squadron “Commander’s Coin” and more.

“My goal as a urologist is for every patient to feel like they are my only patient. I strive to establish a relationship based on mutual trust and goodwill so that together we can develop an individualized plan of care structured around evidence-based medicine, innovative surgical techniques, and shared decision-making. In my experience, this approach leads to the best possible outcome for each patient,” said Dr. Mucher. “I’m thrilled to join Houston Methodist Urology Associates, where I will offer the same individualized care that patients know and expect from Houston Methodist Sugar Land.”
