Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is pleased to welcome Ravikanth Papani, M.D., to its specialty physician group.
Papani is board-certified in pulmonology, critical care, and internal medicine. He is opening a new practice – Houston Methodist Pulmonary Specialists at Clear Lake – that will focus on a range of chronic lung conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, sleep apnea, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Papani earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University in Kalamazoo, as well as a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston.
“I am very happy to be coming back to Texas, serving the people of the Bay Area and surrounding communities,” said Papani. “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to bring my experience and build a new practice from the ground up. Anyone who suffers from a chronic pulmonary condition such as COPD, or a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea, can tell you that it creates significant health and lifestyle issues, especially if left untreated. Having a physician that you are comfortable with and trust is vital. We will work hard to develop that type of relationship with our patients.”
