Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is pleased to welcome gastroenterologist Valentine Millien, M.D., Ph.D., to its medical staff.
Millien is opening a new office for Houston Methodist Gastroenterology Associates at Clear Lake – located at 14903 El Camino Real in the Houston Methodist Primary Care Group building – to serve patients from across the Bay Area. She specializes in a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases and disorders, including reflux, indigestion, inflammatory bowel diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, liver disease, colon cancer screening, and more.
Millien earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology. Prior to medical school, she earned a Ph.D. in translational biology and molecular medicine, also from Baylor College of Medicine.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to open a new practice and expand the level of care available to local residents,” said Millien. “Gastrointestinal issues often lead to serious health risks and can be debilitating to many patients. Finding a treatment that works often takes time and patience. I’m excited to join the staff at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital and begin building a gastroenterology practice that focuses on individualized, compassionate care.”
