Houston Methodist welcomes orthopedic surgeon/sports medicine specialist Kyle Borque, M.D.

Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at Sugar Land is pleased to welcome knee and shoulder surgeon and sports medicine specialist Kyle Borque, M.D.

He comes to Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine from Harvard School of Medicine and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports surgery. He also recently completed a fellowship in complex knee surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s Fortius Clinic in London.

Borque, who grew up in Sugar Land and graduated from Clements High School, earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his residency at the University of Chicago.

Borque has extensive experience in sports medicine from his time at Massachusetts General Hospital, having served as a team physician for the New England Patriots during their 2018 Super Bowl season.

He also assisted with the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and New England Revolution soccer team. During his time in London, he treated players from many English Premier League soccer teams, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal as well as Premiership Rugby players. Borque also has provided physician coverage for a number of colleges and high schools.
