The Woman’s Hospital of Texas to affiliate with Pearland Medical Center

HCA Gulf Coast Division announced recently that Pearland Medical Center and The Woman’s Hospital of Texas are forming an affiliation that will provide women in Pearland convenient access to the highly regarded, specialized services for which The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is renowned. The affiliation will be known as The Woman’s Hospital of Texas at Pearland Medical Center.

“Our facilities are committed to providing the highest level of healthcare to all of the communities we serve,” said Maura Walsh, President of HCA Gulf Coast Division.

“As the premier health facility in the state that only specializes in women’s health, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas brings a higher standard of care to Pearland Medical Center, including access to the region’s best infertility and high-risk pregnancy specialists.”

The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is home to nationally recognized Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists (MFM). MFMs are physicians who have obtained three years of additional education and training in the complications a pregnant woman might encounter. MFMs are specialists in helping high-risk mothers maintain their pregnancies and in ultrasound evaluation.

“The Woman’s Hospital of Texas celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2016,” said Ashley McClellan, CEO of The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. “Through the affiliation with Pearland Medical Center, we will continue to grow to meet the needs of women and babies in their own community.

Since 2011, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas at West Houston Medical Center has had a successful affiliation, and we look forward to our newest affiliation with Pearland Medical Center. The physicians who founded our hospital have been pioneers in establishing a standard of care for women, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to bring that expertise to the excellent program at Pearland Medical Center.”

“We are looking forward to growing our hospital to meet the needs of the many communities served by our physicians and employees,” said Matt Dixon, CEO of Pearland Medical Center. “As we work together with The Woman’s Hospital of Texas we will elevate and enhance our already high level of women’s services. “
