Tom Pisula Development has debuted the first ‘green’ environmentally-friendly office building in the Greater Northwest/North Houston area.
Located at 506 Graham St. Tomball, Texas, the commercial real estate developer, headquartered in The Woodlands, has constructed the 55,000 square-foot, two-story Tomball Medical Plaza.
It is registered to be LEED (Leadership In Energy and Environmental Design) Certified at the Silver level by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The LEED Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. It is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
“By building Tomball Medical Plaza to the specifications of LEED means that it was constructed with energy efficiency and sustainability in mind,” explains Tom Pisula, CEO of Tom Pisula Development. “Such high-performance green interiors are designed to be healthy, productive places to work that are less costly to operate and maintain and have a reduced environmental footprint.”
